After you join Taburit, a “Taburit kit” will be delivered to you by a personal courier. A variety of special gift vouchers are also included with the kit.
The kit should be kept closed, and packed in the bag you prepare for delivery. You can join the service at any stage of pregnancy, even at the very last minute prior to delivery.
This is a special kit designed for cord blood collection. The kit is labeled for you personally, and will be delivered to you by a representative of Taburit.
- A box containing everything that is required for performing the cord blood collection procedure in the delivery room. The box is sealed with a sticker and should not be opened before arriving in the delivery room. The kit should be stored at room temperature, and kept out of reach of children. Avoid exposing the kit to a source of extreme heat or cold.
- A special pouch attached to the collection box contains all the accompanying documents. Upon receipt of the Taburit kit, detach the document pouch from the cord blood collection kit. Open the pouch and fill in all the documents as required.
Place the kit in the bag you’ve prepared for the delivery. Upon arrival in the delivery room, give the kit to the attending staff and inform them that you are interested in cord blood collection.
You arrived at the delivery room with the kit?
Give the kit to the delivery room staff. The staff members have been trained to collect cord blood after delivery. We will take care of transporting the cord blood unit from the delivery room to the Cord Blood Bank at Sheba Medical Center.

The cord blood unit was given to you by the delivery room staff?
A family representative must contact Taburit immediately after the delivery. A company representative will come and transfer your baby’s blood unit to the Cord Blood Bank at Sheba Medical Center, for testing and cryopreservation.
